Notes on the European Machinery Directive
European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
SERVO-DRIVE drives for opening/closing doors, wall cabinets and pull-outs are subject to the provisions of the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Based on the guide to application of the Machinery Directive (Edition 2.2), a Blum drive is a complete machine.
If SERVO-DRIVE drives are fitted in furniture according to current Blum specifications (Blum catalogue, instruction leaflets and installation instructions), then all the requirements
of the Machinery Directive are covered by Blum's declaration of conformity.
If furniture deviates from Blum specifications, conformity must be confirmed by the distributor of the furniture.
Note: The Machinery Directive applies to products placed on the market within the European Economic Area (EEA) + Switzerland + Turkey + North Macedonia.
The requirements of other countries are covered by certifications.
